My Story
My name is Emma Dickinson
The Hair Integrity Academy was born from a simple observation by founder Emma Dickinson. Tired of seeing traction alopecia and preventable hair damage all of which being treated as normal. The industry is wrought with poor trainings and mixed application techniques that do not consider the anatomy of the client or hairdressing qualifications of the technician. Emma set out to create a new standard where follicle health, hair science and excellent industry ethics carry as much weight as the final look for stylist and technicians. ​​

We consider our premier curriculum to be the industry's missing link. This course strips away brand bias to focus on the raw biology of the hair, scalp and the physics of weight distribution. THE TRUTH ABOUT TRACTION ALOPECIA
- This is caused by bad education leading to bad practice.
- Any extensionist who has not had a full theory training in their extensions would have come across this on their clients and it was possibly detrimental to both client and the business.
- If they didn't know it was bad practice then these issues will almost definitely
present themselves to the stylist.
WHAT IS TRACTION ALOPECIA?
- It is damage to the hair follicle and scalp from tension most probably caused by an incorrect fitting.
